Pictures from our visit to Memphis, October 18-21, 2013
This is John and Lissa's back yard - right off the patio!

The Friday we arrived was John's birthday.

After the b-day dinner and celebration, it was time for some pool and relaxation.

On Saturday, we took a tour of Sun Studio.

We sang into the actual microphone that Elvis Presley used for his recordings.

This picture, taken in the studio in December, 1956, has been named "The Million Dollar Quartet"

Left to right: Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis at the piano.

Later that night, we went to Otherlands Cafe for a concert featuring some great talent.
It was sponsored by the Memphis Acoustical Music Association (MAMA)

We enjoyed lunch on Alfred's rooftop, before seeing "The Buddy Holly Story" on stage.

A little more pool Sunday evening.

On Monday, Lonna showed Lissa the ins and outs of Lissa's new iPhone before we left.

We can't thank John & Lissa enough for their wonderful hospitality. It was a great visit.
